Mike is a major stockholder of Pine River Inc, and is the managing member of the ownership team. Before starting Pine River, Mike was in the factory automation business working for Rockwell Automation the world’s leading control manufacturer as well as for it’s largest distributor McNaughton-McKay Electric in Detroit, Michigan. Mike’s responsibilities with these two companies spanned over 20 years where he was the global account manager of a major automotive company as well as having responsibility for a number of machine tool OEMs.

In between working for these two major automation companies, Mike work for 2 years with start up company named Laser Technology Inc., (LTI). LTI was a company ahead of it's time in an effort to commercialize a high powered pulsed laser for the surface cleaning industry. The technology was there but the insurmountable challenge was the ability to affordably manufacture. A next generation company is still undertaking the development of this exciting “green” way to clean. It’s time will come…

Mike is an Electrical Engineer with a degree from Michigan Technological University. He is married and has 4 children.

Founder's Statement

Dawson Way – Chairman of the Board

Dawson is the Chairman of the Board and also a stockholder of the company. He has a wide variety of experiences and successful business ventures to his credit. He is a successful business man and has owned and operated a number of businesses over the 60 years of his business life. Dawson was born in Detroit, moved to Charlevoix as a teenager to help run the family farm. From there he bought his own farm and ran that for a number years before he moved into the Insurance business. While he was developing that he began to acquire real estate and has a number of real estate developments. He later purchased and operated a Waste Services business including the landfill site until selling to a major waste company. Today Dawson is active in Pine River and other family operated businesses.

Dawson is married with 5 children, 22 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Barney Way – Ownership Partner

Barney is a stockholder in Pine River and also owns and operates a thriving Marine business in the Charlevoix area. Barney has been a business owner in a variety of businesses including an excavation business, a waste service business, clothing retail, multiple real estate developments and is currently involved in a number of other business ventures. Barney adds his experience in the form of advice, counsel and assistance on a regular basis.

Barney is married with 5 children.

Don Neill – Director, Sales & Marketing dneill@e-logsiding.com Don came to Pine River in the fall of 2006. He has 25 plus years experience in the construction industry with 12 years specifically in the log home industry. He was the leading sales person in his former employment. Prior to going into the sales position with this company Don was a Construction Manager and built a number of log homes as well as working in their production facility. This experience gives Don a well rounded base to work from providing Pine River’s customers an excellent background when helping them plan their home project needs. Don’s experience and pleasant attitude provides our customers the capability and confidence they need whether this is their first building project or they are seasoned veterans. Don is married with 2 children.
Jon Boss – Sales and Marketing jboss@e-logsiding.com Jon has been with Pine River in a selling capacity since April of 2008. Jon is a graduate of Grand Valley University in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a BS in Advertising and minor in Business. Jon has been involved in the construction industry for the past 8 years working on residential and commercial construction projects as well as in selling construction related products such as Shucco and Anderson windows, Wilson Art flooring, and various types of siding systems before he joined the e-log team. Jon is not married but he is involved with a young lady that keeps him busy... As a footnote, the reason that Jon's picture is so much larger then the rest is that for some reason he wanted to get his "deer mount" in the picture with him... Obviously, Jon is avid hunter and outdoors person.
Larry Boog – Business & Accounting Manager lboog@e-logsiding.com Larry has been in the finance business all of his professional life. His experiences range from banking and commercial lending to setting up and running start up businesses. Larry’s function with Pine River is to manage the financial cash flow and handle billing and receivables. Larry’s ability to multi-task in a variety of business and office related functions is a crucial factor in the ongoing life of e-log and Pine River. Larry is married with 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
Dawn Hankins – Sales Support Manager dhankins@e-logsiding.com Dawn Hankins is a strong member of the Pine River Inc. sales team as the Sales Support Manager for the past year. She has spent her entire professional career in the fields of Customer Service and Sales Support, being in a management position the past 8 years. Her formal education is a B.A. in Education from Goshen College, Goshen Indiana, a liberal arts college known for offering programs in international education, service-learning and peace and justice issues. Dawn’s Customer Service and Sales Support professional work history has been with SYSCO/Frost-Pack Food Service, LexaLite International Corporation, and ALP Lighting Components, Inc. Dawn has consistently been viewed as a standout in all of her previous positions; retaining her job during lay-offs, being promoted to management positions and to leadership teams. In her role at PRI, she is continually striving to bring value, knowledge and success to her role and to her colleagues. Dawn is married with 2 children
Mike Kasuske – Plant Operation's Manager mkas@e-logsiding.com Mike joined Pine River in the Spring of 2007. He comes with a wide variety of plant operation's experience. Mike was a former plant manager of a log siding company with upwards of 50 people reporting to him. In addition to this experience, Mike has a CAD background and the ability to help design log trusses and other log specialty products. Mike is responsible for the entire manufacturing operations of the e-log system and associated corners and trim options. Mike is married with 2 children
